I ponder if anyone here would like me to make a AI update for the current public release, since Duelron seems to be heavily occupied with real life so i don't think a new release is coming too soon.
The Ai update would mostly consist of making the AI in the public release work, and play.
If enough people want one, i can make one. This way you guys could actually have something to play against while you wait for the real release.

I'd prefer a real fight for a change. AI seems mostly idle at the moment. Too easy to jump in a large fleet and just gank away at the enemy. Give me a challenge!

No since im the only guy working on the AI, and im done so far on the internal version AI, so it wouldn't hurt anything atm to make you guys a update so you have something to do until the next actual release is ready.
I'll see if i can make a release of the update on Wednesday or Thursday.

Count me in as another person who like that idea . Edit: does it will also contain updated build options? (it would be nice to have destroyers buildable if we don't want an AI to charge it's only command ship into trap).

The AI update development hit a rock just today, as i managed to break every era but the Great War 2 era(crashes at loading universe), i have a idea where the fault is, but HW2.log won't tell me where ._. . And i looked at the code sections i added/tweaked and i can't see anything wrong in them, so im totally stumped on the whereabouts of the bug. I have enabled the building of destroyers, and the AI utilises them in their attacks. Sometimes when AI Starts to build one it might look like the AI is doing nothing, but its actually building a destroyer, they take bloody ages to build.

Oh well i fixed the crashing bug now, but the end result isn't exactly what i wanted.
If all goes well the release should be tomorrow, if i find hosting that is..

I'm after the last of my exams. This means that I finnaly have time to finish those research trees. I'm damn exchausted, so I'll finish them tomorrow (Saturday). Once I'm done I'll E-mail them to you Akalamania.

Xixmeister, if you got the hosting capacity for a 26mb big file ill gladly have it hosted by you..
I also made the Seraphim bomber buildable for FS2 era in the AI update, as it was included in the current public release but wasn't actually buildable. Its however identical in cost to the Nephilim.
Those of you who have a google mail account or MSN, i will gladly send the AI update to those who are willing to take it until i get some actual hosting for the file.
