FSNA has grown rather large even though it has only just begun it's development period. Now I know that the AI isn't much to play with if you are after a real challenge, but I have a solution: our own gaming network.
First off you need to get Hamachi (www.hamachi.cc/download) set it up and join the network "FSNA game network" with the password of "FSNA". If all is set as it should be you should see that there are a number of other users also in the network, what's more depending if their name or ip address is gray or not will tell you if they are online. The second set is install the HW 2 no-CD patch, note that you are only allowed to use this if you own a legit copy of the game:
(copy the whole link, don't just click on it)
dl.gamecopyworld.com/dl_awpost.php?d=&f=rzr-hw21!rar&u=m1139.gamecopyworld.com
copy this .exe to HW 2/release/bin and you are ready to play.
Open the LAN game browser to find a game, this is our game network browser so when people host a game they need to have some information in the name of the game. Including: connection speed, version of mod and location.
Hopefully we can get some one running a game all the time.
Hamchi:
This program is a vpn tunneler program, i am not going to explain how a vpn works but just think of it as using the Internet to make a private network, just like a LAN. Now programs then treat this connection as if it were a LAN and thus we can use the LAN function of HW 2; which is much better then using the direct ip system as it allows us to browse all games. I hope to create our own gaming system were players can connect to and get into a game. I don't mean for just FSNA to be played over this network, in fact anything that has lan multi-player should be able to be played. This program also allows you to send chat messages, and you should all note that this program also allows you to browse your computer as it would be normally connected via a lan. For that reason i would advise that you setup some more of security even if it's just MS window's doggy firewall + a virus scanner.
legal statement:
by using the "FSNA game network" you are agreeing to the terms and conditions below:
1)By using this system you can only hold your self responsible for any damages that may occur while using it.
2)Miss-use of this system by which you put others at risk of damages is punishable by means of banning from the service.
3)Access to this service maybe banned or blocked at any time without reason
