Well at least it'll be a real pain to take it out though, you'd probably need to scout then call in the "heavy artillary". You could take out a scouting sqaud before they even know what hit them, so it'll still be tough. How many flak guns are you planning to put on? Oh and instead of beams (for the early version) why not have a tripple torpedo launchers(you can make them weak of course or just use missiles to complement the flak guns)?

well since most ships were desgined arround having beam weapons they include them. But then you say: look at the Orion, it was retrofitted with beams with no problems. Well it all depends on the ship. The Aeolus has 6 flack cannons and 2 AAAF cannons in FS 2, so for the rebuilding period it would have have say 4 flack and 2 week AAAF (about half the power of FS 2 AAAF cannons) with the 2 turrets left over being terran huge or just terran turrets or maybe even missile turrets. The Aeolus is the most powerfull terran cruiser so it has to be blanced in other ways, costing alot and long build times. To take it out would be a case of sending first fighters then bombers from behind, or a corvette or a curiser squad. The whole idea is for players to be creative in how they win.

Yes i agree. Hmm, i thought that the Aelous had 3 main beam cannons as well? which is why i suggested turning them into topedo launchers.

I still hope to see more capital ships like the Psamtik (Hatshepsut), Sathanas, Ravana and Collosus. For the fighters, I hope to see the Terran Ursa bomber, Shivan Mara, Shivan Seraphim, Terran Herc MK.II and some more owange ships

don't worry that will all end up in FSNA, including a few more.
according to the tables the Aeolus has only two main beam cannons and two AAAF cannons, while the rest are either flack or terran huge.

Ah yes, you are probably right. Well turn the beam cannons into torpedo launchers and turn the turrent huge into lazers or something eqivilent, and leave the flak as flak. However its your decision.

no, we are behind as we lost our HODer; although we do have another it takes time to get going again.
Don't worry as soon as we get some more ships to show off we'll post them.

I've found a picture from an old topic @ relic forums which contains a lot of Shivan capital ships. This picture is definitely from Homeworld 2. Does somebody knows who modeled those ships?
