it doesn't initially share anything if you don't have anything shared, think of hamachi as an extention of lan. data passes though the internet but only as a medium, it doesn't get sent to any server to goes stright to other people on the network.

And if you happen to have a LAN set up, with folders shared? Will those be shared by hamachi?

it will but all you need to do is disable the guest account so people would have to use a login and password to access them. you could also setup a firewall on the hamchi adaptor which blocks all ports other then ports 6073 and 2302 to 2400. if that was still not enough for you, you could tell HW 2 to use a set port with the -port #### command in the shortcut, where #### is the desired port.
the 1st suggestion i would recommend to all ready for people even if they don't use hamachi, as if it wasn't for your ISP anyone on the internet could access your shares (that is if you don't use a router and your modem is connected directed to your computer).

Would anyone happen to know just how does the Homeworld 2 LAN option work if you have more than one LAN? Does it just show the games on all of them or do you have to configure it to display one particular LAN?
By the way DJ Die I joined up with your network, might have to give you a game on of these days.

We're GMT+10 actually. GMT-8 is west coast America I think. I'll just keep checking on hamachi now and then for you.
